DAVID M. ARCHER, BBA (Hons.) President, ATM Export Management Inc.
2005 Ontario Global Traders Award Winner

After an extensive career in international business, and achieving the quadrupling of international sales in four years as Export Sales Manager for a Toronto manufacturer, David Archer realized that he had unique export market development expertise, along with a commitment to share his experience through export coaching and training.

As Export Sales Manager, David gained hands-on business experience in 32 countries on all continents. This knowledge inspired David to initiate his own export management company in 1998 to assist Canadian companies in exporting their products worldwide, with a particular emphasis on Mexico.

David’s background provides him with the credentials to relate his experience to other companies and individuals. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.). A graduate of the Essentials of Management Consulting course offered through the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, David also received the Ontario Global Traders Award for Partnership in 2005.

David was directly responsible for Canadian export sales of over $2 million, primarily to Mexico, by his Export Sales Services clients in 2005. Aside from generating export sales while directly representing his clients, he also has a strong commitment to passing on his experience to others through international trade education, by helping corporate clients and individuals entering global commerce to understand and act upon key international trade concepts to enhance their export sales.

David is an Instructor for the national FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) national program. He is a member of the Importers and Exporters of Canada / Canadian Council for the Americas, and is a member of the Association of Independent Consultants. David is on the Consultants Roster of the Business Development Bank of Canada as an International Business Consultant.

His credentials and experience with setting up and managing international sales and distribution channels have led David to be a sought-after speaker on international business. Fluent in both Spanish and English, David delivers educating and enlightening presentations to all types of audiences who are interested in learning more about how they can enter international markets and grow through exporting opportunities. His group workshops and one-on-one coaching have assisted many individuals and companies in achieving international business success.
